I am looking for a local "man with a van" for a rather small and straight forward job. Any suggestions/ recommendations? Thank you!

Steve Turner I really don't understand why there is such a big deal about people asking questions that have been asked on here before. Is it really that much of an inconvenience? A question gets asked, an answer gets given and *almost* everyone is happy.

Andrew Peter Hornsey Jon Harvey. Have you considered a document attached to the page. You could edit it with all the details and just add as people go. Just another thought to add to the mix. And yes - Carmen Nana Tigs Robinson did a grand job for me 😂

Gary Warden Carmen I have used you twice.. once at short notice and under difficult circumstances and I have known you for many years. You were and will no doubt be in the future brilliant and professional.

I too will always recommend you but my apathy is due to the repeated asking of the same question despite possibly the whole world knows of you now.

Steve Turner Gary, surely it must take you more effort to comment on all these posts rather than just scrolling past. At the weekend someone asked why there were so many Bikers in town, you suggested they should have searched rather than asked... I think that is ridiculous; if that person had seen the posts they would have known, they obviously hadn't so it was a reasonable question in my view.

Gary Warden You know your right.. trouble is this page used to be interesting and had challenging debates and I set my settings to notify when a new post came up. I could read and join in as necessary and expand my knowledge of the town and its politics.

Sadly it degenerated into a bizarre love child of Spotted and Business pages over last few months.

Notifications are now switched off, and seriously thinking of dropping out.

Thanks Steve for opening my eyes.

Steve Caunt Before we get too tetchy with folks....do remember that there are new people joining the Group every day, and not everyone knows how to search posts...it isn't obvious IMHO.

Jon Harvey It's true - the search this group feature is there on the comp screen - but not always there on a phone.... it was just that this Q is asked so often.... FB groups are limited in my experience - in terms of cataloguing... but if anyone has any ideas - please say!
